Healthier stevia sweetened ice cream
Weight Watchers has launched a new healthier ice cream in the UK market, which replaces some of the sugar in the product with stevia. The Real Stevia Company from Sweden provides the stevia.
The Weight Watchers salted caramel ice cream with Real Stevia is now available at Sainsbury and ASDA stores in the UK.
“There is now a growing demand for stevia as a sweetener in ice creams. In fact all ice creams to be launched in the coming year will include stevia, since it is an excellent option from both a health and taste perspective,” says Scott Wilson, brand manager Weight Watchers at Ice Fresh Foods.
