Austrian milk levels up

Milk deliveries remain at a high level in Austria. In September the dairies collected a total of 243,164 tons of milk, and delivery surpassed the previous year’s level by 4.8%. Since the end of quotas in April, 1. % more milk has been delivered in Austria compared to the previous year, according to AgrarMart Austria.

In September, producer sreceived on average 32.97 cents/kg (4.2% fat, 3.4% protein) for the milk. Austrian milk money is still at a low level, but can be said to have stabilized compared to the previous months. A year earlier, the milk producers received about 6.04 euro cents more per kilo or 15.5% more for their milk.
According to current estimates, Austrian milk has in October averaged €0.333 per kg.
