Scottish dairy brand launched in New York

A Scottish Dairy brand was launched at the Summer Fancy Foods Show in New York this week. Testimony to the increasing US demand for products with Scottish provenance, 30 distinctive Scottish cheeses will be showcased at the show.

Three cheeses Connage Dunlop, Orkney Smoked Red and Mull of Kintyre cheddars will be available to buy in the US from July with more characterful Scottish speciality cheeses in the coming weeks. The remainder of the cheeses featured at Summer Fancy Food Show are seeking regional and national distribution.

The new brand includes three ranges of cheese including the Scottish Dairy Heritage range made using 100% Scottish milk from Scotland’s dairy herds, the Scottish Dairy Artisan range using traditional craft methods and the Scottish Dairy Organic range with products made exclusively from 100% Scottish organic milk.

With 11 producers supplying 30 different products across three ranges, the brand includes an exclusive logo that is being added on premium Scottish dairy products such as cheeses and butters. It will help consumers easily identify Scottish products and to assist retailers and foodservice buyers ensure they’re selling 100% Scottish dairy, all of which is non-GMO, hormone free and made with milk produced from grass fed cows.
