Gold medals for Bergader

German Bergader cheeses have done well in this year’s awards competition, held by the German Agricultural Society (DLG). The dairy was awarded gold medals for its Bergader Edelpilz (Thekenbrot), Bavaria blu fein-würzig Minitorte 150g and Bonifaz Pfeffer cheeses, while its Bergader Edelpilz (Thekenlaib) and Bavaria blu (Thekenlaib) both received silver medals.

The German Agricultural Society judges around 2,000 different products like cheese, milk, yogurt, desserts, cream or ice cream and manufacturers from all over Europe take part in the international competitions. Around 85% of Germany dairies participate, and the DLG awards are considered an important quality criterion by German retailers and consumers.
