Jersey milk ice cream unveiled

Minioti, a new range of premium ice creams made with Jersey milk from the island, has been launched in the UK after exhibiting at the Speciality & Fine Food Fair in September. The range is available in three flavours including: Strawberry, Vanilla and Milk Chocolate. All are available for retail or hospitality.

Offering something new to the ice cream category, all of the ice creams contain 100% Jersey milk, protein and calcium as well as live cultures, aimed specifically for growing young children. Minioti adds no sugar to its gluten free range. They are instead sweetened with stevia.

Milk from Jersey cows has a high butterfat content and 20% more protein and calcium than milk from other breeds. It is also naturally lower in saturated fats, the company says.

Natasha Dowse, co-founder, says, “We have worked with the expertise of Jersey Dairy to produce our ice creams. As well as using milk from their herd of pedigree cows – it also means that Minioti carries the genuine Jersey stamp, which guarantees the provenance of our products.”
