Medina Dairy appoints Sheldon as managing director

Supplier of fresh milk, dairy and bakery products Medina Dairy has appointed Mike Sheldon as its managing director, reporting to chief executive Sheazad Hussain.

Sheldon is an experienced managing director with significant leadership and major project experience in the food industry. His previous experience includes being managing director of Dairy Crest Dairies Division and he brings to Medina a wealth of knowledge and experience of the dairy industry.

Sheazad Hussain, says, “We are delighted to have appointed someone of Mike Sheldon’s calibre to the role of managing director. This is an exciting time for Medina as we make good progress in delivering on our strategic development objectives and I am sure that Sheldon’s substantial dairy industry experience, particularly in relation to the supply of fresh milk to the major multiples, will strengthen our offer further.”

At the same time, Medina Dairy has also announced the appointment of Mark McQuade to its sales team. McQuade joins the business from Graham’s Family Dairy where he was commercial director, prior to this he was national accounts director for Muller Wiseman Dairies and before that executive director at First Milk.

Medina has also confirmed that Shelagh Hancock will be leaving the business in March to take up a new role. Shelagh, formerly MD of Medina, has been its business development director since mid- 2015, focusing on the development of trading relationships with major retailers.
