Greiner acquires Turkish dairy packaging company
Greiner Packaging has increased its shares in Turkish dairy product packaging company Teknik Plastik Greiner Ambalaj from 51% to 100%.
In 2015, Greiner acquired a majority stake (51%) in the companies Teknik Plastik and Teknik IML which were later merged into Teknik Plastik Greiner Ambalaj.
Manfred Stanek, CEO of Greiner Packaging, says, “We believe in the Turkish market and have positioned ourselves well in the past two years, both geographically and organisationally, in order to serve the markets in the Middle East and North Africa. We will therefore also continue to invest in the site.”
Following the acquisition, the joint venture will operate as Greiner Packaging.
