Sugar Reduction Awards entry deadline extended

The entry deadline for the inaugural Sugar Reduction Awards has been extended until 5 October.

The awards will take place alongside the fourth annual Sugar Reduction Summit at The Royal Society in London on Thursday 9 November.

The progress being made in sugar reduction across industry, retail, academia and public health will be recognised. Emphasis will also be placed upon products which have been reformulated to reduce sugar and low/no added sugar products.

The organisation encourages entries from manufacturers, retailers, ingredient companies, public health charities, NGOs, school charities, caterers, out of home outlets, researchers and local authorities. There is no charge to enter.

The awards will be judged by an expert panel and winners will be announced at the networking drinks reception at The Sugar Reduction Summit.

The full programme for The Sugar Reduction Summit includes: a progress update on PHE’s sugar reduction programme, data and discussion around the impact of sugar reduction on calories, the latest science and evidence on sweeteners, a detailed exploration of sugar reduction technologies and sugar alternatives and case studies, and analysis and marketing insights from industry.
