Berlin Milk Forum
Date: 4 March 2021 - 5 March 2021
The pandemic has shown how systemically important the dairy industry is. Consumers have bet on milk during the pandemic, even though its reputation hasn’t been the best in the past. The issues of sustainability, animal welfare, ethics and the achievement of the set climate targets have also picked up speed, which affect the dairy industry. Innovation, communication and perspectives are required in order to contribute to the education.
The increasing fundamental challenges and additional requirements of society and trade for the production and processing of milk have to be mastered.
This year, representatives from business, politics, agriculture and trade will discuss the topics “Image of milk – What can the industry do better?” And “Milk and Co: Who sets the rules?” in two panel discussions. On the second day, the focal points of the market, prospects, organic development and communication will be discussed. Competent speakers will speak and take part in the discussion.
The virtual event is organised by the German Farmers’ Association and the Dairy Industry Association in cooperation with the German Raiffeisen Association and the German Agricultural Society. The discussion will be under the motto “Dairy industry between market reality and consumer wishes.”
