Hochland sees volume up, revenue down

Traditional cheese sales went well for German dairy group Hochland last year. It saw growth of around 2% by volume, to 295,000 tons of cheese delivered in domestic and foreign markets. Outside Germany, Hochland is active with different brands in Russia, Poland and Romania. By contrast, revenues declined by almost 7% to €1.19 billion.

In terms of sales, the German market is going well, seeing sales of €534 million. Innovation and development of the core range were the basis for the expansion of market share, the firm says.
