Oktoberfest in a cheese

German dairy Alpenhain will try and provide the Oktoberfest atmosphere (Oktoberfest in Bavaria has been cancelled this year due to the Covid-19 pandemic) with an original design on its Obazda cheese packaging for a limited time.

For the Wiesn Edition (Wiesn is the Bavarian name for Oktoberfest), the Alpenhain Obazda varieties Original Obazda Classic, Original Obazda Leek Onion and Original Obazda Röstzgiebel are on offer.

Alpenhain has integrated its social media community into the creation and selection of the sayings printed on the Wiesn editions. In the promotional period through September, consumers can now create further individual sayings online, print them out and give their loved ones a very personal greeting.

In addition, cooperation with bloggers are planned. There will also be an out-of-home campaign in the Greater Munich area. The focus of the campaign is on the original: Alpenhain has been producing Obazda for more than 25 years. The special cheese spread is not only creamy and spicy, but as a real Bavarian Kulturgut, it has been protected by the EU since 2015.
