Bradburys Cheese partners with Yorkshire Pecorino Ltd.

Bradburys Cheese has strengthened its links to artisan cheesemakers through an investment partnership with Otley-based cheesemaker, Yorkshire Pecorino Ltd.

Bradburys has been working with artisan Cheesemaker and owner of Yorkshire Pecorino, Mario Olianas for a number of years supporting the business and helping them design the new premises, achieve the correct technical status and increase capacity.

Since the move to the new site Bradburys has helped launch Yorkshire Pecorino Fresco into 200 Waitrose deli counters in April 23. The investment in the business has allowed Yorkshire Pecorino to increase capacity with a new 800 litre vat which will increase capacity by 70%.

The investment builds on Bradburys’ current links with artisan cheesemakers; Leicestershire-based White Stilton maker Shirevale, artisan maker and Norfolk goats’ cheese maker Fielding Cottage.

Bradburys managing director, Michelle Jackson commented ‘We’re delighted to be partnering with Mario and his business, working with passionate artisan cheesemakers and seeing their businesses grow. We want to broaden the cheesemakers horizons and allow as many people as possible to try these quality, award winning cheeses.’

Yorkshire Pecorino Cheese Ltd owner, Mario Olianas said ‘I’m grateful for the help and support from Bradburys, it’s helped take Yorkshire Pecorino to the next level and to see our products in a retailer such as Waitrose is fantastic. We’re looking forward to making more great cheeses, winning awards and sending our cheese to all four corners of the UK and beyond for people to try.’

Yorkshire Pecorino Fresco is now available from 200 Waitrose deli counters nationwide across the UK.
