Branded cheeses enjoy popularity
Branded cheeses have seen sales increases of more than 15% in the UK in just a year, according to the latest TNS figures supplied by the Milk Development Council (MDC).
The MDC’s head of market information Huw Thomas says that while it is thought almost 70% of this increase is due to consumers switching from supermarket own-brand and value cheddars, around a third of the growth is down to new sales.
