Emmi-Roth USA builds gruyere plant in Wisconsin

Emmi-Roth USA, a division of Switzerland’s cheese giant Emmi, will invest $43 million (€33.1m) for construction of a 77,000-square-foot artisanal cheese plant in Wisconsin that is expected to employ 32 to 60 people. The site will produce Grand Cru cheese, a type of Gruyere. This cheese recently won several top awards at the International Cheese Competition held in Wisconsin. Emmi Roth also has a cheese plant in Monroe, Wisconsin.
