Irish butter for Europe

The Irish Dairy Board and UK supermarket giant Tesco have signed a €20 million contract to supply Irish butter to Tesco stores in Poland, the Czech Republic, Hungary and Slovakia. Poland is the fourth largest butter market in the European Union, and the four countries combined
consume 22 times the amount of butter eaten in Ireland. More than €762 million worth of Irish food is exported to Tesco stores internationally, the supermarket says.
