Vinamilk, Vietnam’s top dairy manufacturer, has opened a liquid dairy plant designed and installed by Tetra Pak. Known as the Vietnam Milk Factory, this new facility covers 20 hectares in Binh Duong Province and was built with an investment of US$110 million (€82.8m). It has an annual capacity of 400 million litres of milk in the first phase, and features the industry’s most advanced technologies including laser-guided vehicles and 17 Tetra Pak processing lines. It also has the Tetra PlantMaster system, which enables Vinamilk to have entire control of the plant from incoming raw materials to the processed, packaged and palletized products.

Commenting on the announcement, Madam Mai Kiều Liên, Vinamilk’s chairwoman and general director says, “Vinamilk’s mission is to provide world class quality milk products at an affordable price. This new plant has laid solid foundation for Vinamilk to achieve our goals to become one of the world’s top 50 dairies with over $3billion revenues by 2017.”
