Dairy giant Fonterra is recalling fresh cream products distributed on the North Island of New Zealand that have been contaminated with the E.Coli bacteria. This is the second food safety alarm faced by the company in less than six months.

An estimated 8,700 bottles of fresh cream marketed under its Anchor brand with a ‘best before date’ of  21 January 2014, distributed to retail and food service outlets are being pulled, as well as cream sold under the Pams brand.
