Dairy code gets reviewed

The British dairy industry’s ‘voluntary code’ is under review for the first time since it was enacted in September 2012. Alex Fergusson, former presiding officer of the Scottish Parliament, will chair the review of the Dairy Code of Best Practice on Contractual Relationships. His appointment was approved by industry organisations that established the code ­ Dairy UK, the National Farmers Union and NFU Scotland. Submissions can be made through any of the organisations for consideration.
