Dairy summer school at Liverpool University UK

The University of Liverpool, School of Veterinary Science is offering an international summer dairy school for professionals, leaders and farmers in the dairy sector. The course is covering practical dairying skills to enhance productivity and efficiency of a dairy unit by maintaining high standards of animal health and welfare. It will offer a chance to learn good UK dairy practices by visiting top performing farms in the country.
The summer school is taking place twice this year on 29 July-10 August and 17 September – 2 October for two weeks. Both courses are timed to include visits to famous Dairy Shows in UK which are Nantwich dairy show and The Royal Bath & West show respectively.
The University of Liverpool School of Veterinary Science runs its own dairy farm used for teaching and research purpose with average 11,000 kg milk per cow per year sold. The school runs a specialist dairy research centre, the Tesco Dairy Centre of Excellence, which that works with the dairy farmers across the country.
