World Dairy Summit cancelled in Israel

The organizing committee of the International Dairy Federation’s World Dairy Summit 2014, in conjunction with the IDF president and director General, has cancelled this year’s summit, which was to be held 27-31 October in Tel Aviv, Israel. The organizing committee says, “We value and guarantee the security of our summit participants. We believe that the unrest in the region prevents us from conducting this event in the appropriate manner.”
All participants who have pre-paid to date will receive a full refund. The committee’s registration department will be in direct contact with the individuals, and all sponsors and exhibitors will be contacted in the near future.
The IDF General Assembly will take place in Brussels or another location in Europe at the end of November or beginning of December 2014, in consultation with the IDF membership, according to IDF president Jeremy Hill.
