Emmi is selling the yogurt manufacturer Trentinalatte in Roverè della Luna, Italy, to the Livia Group based in Munich and Vienna. Emmi had originally taken over Trentinalatte in July 2006, with the aim of building up a strong base in the Italian yogurt business.

However, the difficult economic situation in Italy has made selling advisable, according to the company. All options for Trentinalatte’s future have been considered carefully. The Livia Group will be taking on all employees and has the expertise required to guide it into a successful future, Emmi says. The completion of the transaction is subject to the consent of the municipality and of the province.
