DMK tops again for employees

German dairy group Deutsches Milchkontor (DMK) has once again been named as sector leader among the top German companies in the category of “food and confectionery, pet food, hygiene items and medical consumables,” in Germany’s Focus magazine. In the overall ranking, it also achieved a leading position in the survey, which ranked companies by their employees’ views.

“That we are now are the sector leader among large corporations delights us and is an indication that our actions are well received by the employees,” says DMK human resources director Ines Krummacker.

In the overall ranking of the best employers in Germany, DMK at number 53 out of 806 ranked companies, is next to Daimler, Adidas, Beiersdorf and other internationally operating companies in the Top 100.

One of the reasons for the excellent review is from the perspective of Ines Krummacker the fair, cooperative approach among all staff:

“As a co-operative company, it is our guiding principle to communicate with staff regularly, to receive ideas and put them into action. In addition, it is now of importance that career opportunities are on offer to encourage people to stay.”

With its training programmes, DMK focuses on individual potential, personal satisfaction and the motivation of each individual. Special focus is also on the promotion of young talent. Here, DMK offers a wide range of opportunities for school leavers, graduates and internal junior staff. Graduates can, for example, learn one of 14 occupations and build foundation for a future career.
