Chifton Dairies of Lancashire has been purchased by the Tom Barron Group, a company with interests ranging from milk production to day-old chicks.

The group has bought the assets of Clifton dairies from Clifton Food Service, part of the R Group. Woodplumpton-based Clifton provides milk and dairy products to retail and wholesale outlets and hospitals in the Fylde area of Lancashire.
