Engel out at Hochwald

The supervisory board of Germany’s Hochwald Foods has dismissed Karl-Heinz Engel as manager of the Hochwald Group with immediate effect. He has also been retired as chairman from the board of Hochwald Milch.

Despite the personnel change, the company is consistently pursuing the strategy concept for 2020 and the development of other export markets, it says. Hans-Jürgen Sehn, chairman of Hochwald Foods says, “Our company is well positioned for the challenges ahead. The primary objectives are still paying a milk price above the national average and the long-term and independent development of Hochwald.”

As Engel has stepped down at Hochwald, he must retire as chairman of the German Dairy Industry Association (MIV). A new appointment is to take place at the annual MIV conference in Leipzig.
