Holstein regional label boosts cheese sales
GERMANY – Further expansion in cheese production by the north German label Gut von Holstein has underlined the success of the co-operative marketing concept which launched the label back in the early 1990s.
Now eight otherwise independent medium sized dairies, mostly co-operatives, are involved in producing butter and cheese products under the “Gut von Holstein” label. Total milk deliveries to the dairies tops 700 million litres annually.
