New varieties for Shepherd’s Purse

UK – Cheese company Shepherd’s Purse is set to launch two new cheeses at the International Food Exhibition in March.

The first of these is Basilano is a white sheep’s milk cheese, which is marinaded in herbs to create a pesto-style rind. The company says that it will increase the variety of flavour in a currently limited sheep’s cheese market.

The second cheese is Bell-Peppered Buffalo, a fresh Buffalo’s milk cheese with sweet red bell peppers and marinaded in balsamic vinegar.
