Krones upgrades capabilities

Krones has upgraded its capabilities for the dairy industry with its new Milkron subsidiary. Krones of Neutraubling, Germany, will be synergising its operations involving plant construction and service support for the dairy industry, under the aegis of Milkron.

With this step, Krones aims to raise its profile for the relevant process technology, so as to become a global vendor for this segment on a long term basis, the company says.

Milkron is headquartered in Laatzen near Hanover and will focus on the engineering of production lines for all liquid to paste products, such as dairy. Its covers planning, project management, automation, installation, plus commissioning and acceptance-testing of the equipment on site. Moreover, spare parts and service support business, plus expansion jobs on existing kit, will form an important constituent of the firm’s corporate capabilities.

Milkron began business operations as a subsidiary of Krones as of 1 August 2016.
