GERMANY – Local dairies will be able to install milk product vending machines in and around 12 major soccer stadiums in Germany during the World Cup competition in 2006, following their criticism of major sponsor Coca-Cola.

Coca-Cola is the official drinks licence holder for the event, but it has reacted to criticism from Westphalian farmers that there was no provision for the sale of drinks from the German agricultural sector.

The new agreement states that the dairies must offer only milk-based drinks.
