Dairy remains key sector at Anuga

Dairy products will fill the whole of hall 10 at Koelnmesse in October, as part of the Anuga food fair, billed as ‘ten fairs under one roof’. There are separate halls for organic products (hall 5.1), frozen foods (hall 4), and chilled and fresh food (hall 5.1).
“The complete white and yellow line is represented in Cologne,” said Lorenz Rau, project manager Anuga, during a recent visit to London. “Anuga Dairy offers the most comprehensive overview of the international dairy market worldwide.” The biggest area remains Anuga Fine Food, covering four halls of the total 284,000 square meter exhibition space that makes up Anuga.
New concepts at this year’s Anuga exhibition in October will include a separate trade fair for tea and coffee, known as Anuga Hot Beverages, and an expanded ‘Culinary Concepts’ sector for technology, equipment and gastronomy. Once again, the Anuga Trend Zone will be run jointly with Innova Market Insights, giving food and product trends. The Taste Innovation competition for new products is open until 13 September for exhibitors to enter, which are then judged and presented at a special event during Anuga (7-11 October 2017, Cologne, Germany).
The event has almost 7,200 exhibitors from 100 countries, and around 160,000 visitors. 89 percent of the exhibitors and 69 percent of visitors come from abroad. For more information go to anuga.com
