BV Dairy opens new soft cheese plant
UK – BV Dairy has opened its new process building for manufacturing soft cheese in Gloucester.
The company, which produces products largely for the food service sector, but also for retail, produces a range of goods from cultured creams to yogurts, as well as milk.
The new facility, opened by HRH The Duchess of Gloucester, includes new processing and cold storage facilities and extra chilled loading bays to improve vehicle access.
A third of the total cost of the plant was provided by way of a processing and marketing grant from the UK’s Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA).
