Chr Hansen opens new company in Ukraine
UKRAINE – Food ingredient supplier Christian Hansen has set up a new company in Kiev, which will expand its activities in dairy cultures.
The new premises will supply ingredients specifically for the Ukrainian market, and the company hopes it will stimulate interest in the dairy industry for functional blends, as well as providing natural colours for ice cream and yellow fats. Its Human Health ingredients are also expected to be made available.
“Our strategy is to be the first player in a new market,” said country manager Christian Rolf Jacobsen. “The market is promising and we believe that the time is ripe to market ourselves within more industry segments and product areas.” The company has had a Ukrainian distributor for the past five years, which has supplied the dairy industry with starter cultures.
