Tine and Dairygold set to link up
IRELAND/NORWAY – Norwegian company Tine and the Irish Dairy Co-operative Society are preparing to work together in order to produce Jarlsberg cheese.
The two companies have signed a confidentiality agreement and a letter of intent which outlines the prospect of producing cheese in Ireland.
Initial production runs have been carried out and Tine hopes that commercial production will begin before the end of 2005, according to its senior vice president Hanne Refsholt.
