UK – Unilever has agreed the sale of its Ambrosia business to Premier Foods for an undisclosed sum, with the move expected to go through by the end of the month.

Ambrosia is part of Unilever Bestfoods UK, and produces and markets a range of milk-based desserts, including custard and milk puddings. It employs 200 people at its sight in Devon.

The move is part of Unilever’s ‘path to growth’ strategy, whereby it intends to whittle its vast range of goods down to just 400 core brands.
