SIG to expand in Germany and China

GERMANY – Carton specialist SIG Combibloc is to add new facilities at sites in Germany and China to cover growing demand for its aseptic beverage cartons.

The new plants will be built at Wittenberg and Linnich in Germany and at Suzhou in China. The Linnich site already has three production plants and there is a further one at Wittenberg.

The company also has plans to build a further plant in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

At the new facilities, the packaging material for aseptic cartons will be coated, printed, cut creased and sealed. The material will then be transported to customers’ filling lines where they will be filled.
