UK – Mark Beavon has been named as the new chairman of Nantwich International Cheese Show, after former chairman John Parkin stepped down at the end of last year.

Beavon is general manager and company director at Joseph Heler Cheese, where he has worked for seven years. Prior to that, he worked for Grand Metropolitan Foods. He is already on the show’s committee.

Parkin will now take on the role of vice chairman of the committee, which is responsible for judging cheese at the annual event.

The show will take place at Dorfold Hall Park, Nantwich on 30 and 31 July. Last year, the show was cancelled due to the UK’s foot and mouth outbreak.
