UK – Arla Foods’ dairy at Newcastle-upon-Tyne is being given a new resin floor coating from Hull-based flooring company Lasercroft.

The polyurethane flooring is self levelling and slip resistant. It also incorporates the anti-bacterial agent Ultrafresh.

The old floor at the dairy was made of concrete and had deteriorated due to milk spillages and attack from lactic acid. The surface was uneven and hard to clean.

The total floor covers 3,000 square metres, and is being laid in two stages. Lasercroft is expected to complete the second phase of the project soon.
