CANADA &#8211, Saputo has acquired the fluid milk and cheese operations of Dairyworld Foods as well as certain joint venture interests for approximately C$407 million (290m euro). The transaction is being financed through bank borrowings.

Dairyworld processes and markets liquid milk, yogurt, cheese, skim milk powder, juices and food ingredients. Annual sales amount to approximately 1 billion euro.
