Allied Frozen Foods installs cryogenic air tunnel
Allied Frozen Foods has installed a new cryogenic freezing tunnel from sector specialist Air Products. The modified conventional freezing tunnel has been installed at the company’s site in Bude, Cornwall, UK.
At Bude, Allied produces ice cream for several retailers, including Marks & Spencer. The company previously used mechanical freezers but says it began to investigate alternatives when it had difficulties in accommodating new product sizes and incurred maintenance problems.
