Danone gets a firmer foothold in Brazil
BRAZIL –, French food group Danone has acquired the fresh dairy product and UHT milk activities of the Cooperativa Central de Laticinios in Sao Paulo.
The Brazilian dairy owns the Paulista brand and the Guarantigueta plant to the east of Sao Paulo.
The takeover will add 110 million euro to Danone’s turnover and increase its share of the domestic fresh dairy product market by 11%.
