UHT defies sales slump prediction

The forecasts some years ago that higher living standards would wean consumers away from the cheaper UHT milk in Germany have been proved wrong.
Despite the claimed better marketing image of the fresh pasteurised product, sales of UHT have persisted and currently stand at almost 60% of all drinking milk bought in the country.
Market research indicates the main reason consumers favour UHT products is its practicality
