National Foods of Australia has announced plans to centralise its cream production at Chelsea Heights, Victoria. To this end, a new plant will be constructed at the company’s existing Pura Milk fac- tory at a cost of AS$10 million.
Dairy division executive general manager Mike Slater said the move would reduce costs and improve product development.
Cream is currently processed in Adelaide, South Australia, and in Sydney, New South Wales, and sells under the Farmers Union and Meadowvale brands.
