BAUMER introduces a new compact EB260 encoder, merging the precision of optical sensing with the durability and cost-efficiency of magnetic systems.

This new LowHarmonics encoder technology opens up new opportunities in drive technology and factory automation. Its compact design with 11mm installation depth fits into applications where space is restricted.

This new technology eliminates signal errors caused by installation, temperature, ageing, or mechanical factors ensuring maximum precision.

Additionally, this smart condition monitoring features an integrated Airgap monitor which continuously detects the distance to the magnetic rotor and reports even the slightest non-compliance due to damaged machine mechanics to the higher-level control system.

The encoder operates on non-contact sensing and hence is free from wear, immune to shocks and shaft currents, resulting in maximum reliability in drive technology and factory automation.
