Royal A-ware, a Dutch dairy firm, has acquired a 35% stake in Amalthea, a producer of goat cheese and organic cow cheese based in the Netherlands. The majority stake of 65% is retained by Chinese FMCG company Ausnutria.

The deal follows Royal A-ware’s acquisition of the Spanish dairy distributor, Global Dairy Ventures, six months ago. As a minority stakeholder, Royal A-ware will focus on domestic and international commercialisation of goat cheese and organic cow cheese, while Ausnutria will continue to be responsible for the valorisation of high-quality whey proteins, the company says.
