Arla Foods to streamline cheese production

Scandinavian dairy giant Arla Food has has announced it will concentrate cheese production at its sites in Gotene. Sweden, Nr Vium in Denmark, and in Tychowo in Poland.
Furthermore, the company said that 32 employees at the company’s dairy in Taulov, Denmark, will be made redundant as the sliced cheese department will be closed down. Redundancies will also take place at the dairy in Nr Vium, Denmark and in Gotene, Sweden.
Dan Kolding, production director at Arla Foods, says: “This is a sad decision for the employees who lose their jobs, but by the new investment we have secured the future of the other work in an area where other industries moving abroad.”
