For the first time in its history the Milch-Union Hocheifel (MUH) co-operative dairy processed more than a billion litres of milk in a single year.

The 2008 total of 1.078 billion represents an increase of 12% on the year. And the German-based dairy, which also draws milk from farmers in neighbouring Luxembourg and Belgium, is targeting around 1.2 billion kg processed for the current year.
