More whey products from German partnership

The specialist whey producer Wheyco, fully-owned daughter of Germany’s leading dairies Nordmilch and Humana Milchunion, is increasing its production capacity by 33% through leasing a whey powder plant in the north German area of Schleswig.

The 27,000 tonnes per year plant was previously used by Nordmilch on its own account and will be officially taken over by Wheyco in September this year. Currently, Wheyco produces around 80,000 tonnes of whey products annually from its main plant at in eastern Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.
