Dukat to take over Ideal Shipka

Croatia’s leading dairy producer Dukat, majority-owned by French Lactalis, is to take over the Macedonian dairy Ideal Shipka.

Ideal Shipka is the second largest dairy in Macedonia and was established in 1997. It is a leading cheese producer in the country, processing roughly 30 million litres of milk a year.
Dukat is second largest importer of dairy products in Macedonia. French Lactalis acquired a majority stake in Dukat in May 2007. No details of the transaction have been released.
