Tetra Pak US expands in Minnesota

Swedish packaging giant Tetra Pak has expanded its cheese processing facility in Winsted, Minnesota, US, to include the manufacturing of dairy, beverage and prepared food processing equipment for North America, Central America and South America. The company says that the 26,368-square-foot expansion will allow it to increase its services to these regions by meeting the growing market demand. The new expansion, along with a manufacturing facility nearby, will allow Tetra Pak to respond to demand for production solutions such as pre-assembled and pre-tested skids for thermo-processing, membrane filtration and other applications. The new site will now be able to manufacture about 45 different skid and processing machine types and have the capacity to produce approximately 100 skids annually.
