Parag plans processing capacity expansion

Parag Milk Foods of Pune, India plans to scale up its production capacity by setting up milk processing plants in West Bengal and Delhi. Parag Milk markets dairy products under the ‘Gowardhan’ and ‘Go’ brands and currently has plants in Pune and Andhra Pradesh with a combined capacity of processing two million litres of milk a day. The plants would process five million litres in West Bengal on 20 acres, according to chairman Devendra Shah. The company hopes to have it operating within the next two years. Shah was speaking at the launch of ‘Go Milk’ — a 100 per cent natural and zero preservative milk — in West Bengal. The milk will be available in two variants, ‘Go Milk’ and ‘Go Slim’.
