Cumbrian cheese plant gets backing from Dairy Crest members

The journey towards establishing a cheese plant in Cumbria has received the backing of about 150 Dairy Crest Direct members.

The farmers are looking for a new buyer for their milk as they are concerned the co-op, who owns the factory they supply to, will not pay enough for the milk when their Dairy Crest contracts expire in October.
